The House
Menovite is a privately held holding company, incorporated in Estonia and based in Tallinn. We build and operate consumer software — no more, no less. We prefer small bets taken with long horizons, products we intend to keep, and partnerships that outlast the cycle. What we do not do, we do not do for good reasons.
Portfolio
Sarah
An artificial matchmaker, built to introduce two people who would otherwise not have met. Voice-led, patient, and deliberately slow. Launching first in Madrid — quietly, and by invitation.
Finso
A consumer product for the private practice of money. Further notes will be issued in their own time.
Etymology
The name is a compound of two words — one old, and one older.
- μένω ménō
- Koine Greek. To abide; to remain.
- vite
- Italian. A vine.
Together — to abide in the vine — after a verse that has, for a long time, meant a great deal to the founder.
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
Principles
-
Patience.
A product is not a campaign; it is an institution in miniature. We build as if we will still be here in twenty years, because we intend to be.
-
Craft.
What we make is used by real people, who deserve the dignity of something made well. Detail is not decoration — it is evidence of care.
-
Restraint.
We do not chase every market, every feature, or every round. The companies we admire are the ones that said no, often, and in public.
-
Fidelity.
To users, first. To ourselves, always. To investors and partners, as a consequence of the first two.
